The PPCLI Cap Badge is a precious piece of institutional significance that denotes membership with the Primary Production and Co-operatives Leadership Initiative (PPCLI). The PPCLI Cap Badge is an emblematic token that signifies fellowship in the organization, and is recognized as such by other members. It also serves as a marker of trustworthiness for fellow members who may not know the individual coming from another farm or community. The PPCLC Cap Badge must be worn at all times when in public, or any time you are representing your local or the organization. Furthermore, all members of the PPCLC are expected to uphold certain standards of conduct as outlined in our code of ethics and principles. Members are required to follow these rules under threat of expulsion from the organization should they fail to abide by them.

PPCLI Cap Badges are a powerful symbol of trust that is bestowed upon members who have shown an exceptional level of commitment to the organization and its objectives; thus, making it necessary for all members to wear their Cap Badges with the utmost care and reverence.
PPCLC Code of Conduct
The PPCLI organization is a collective of proud producers, co-operatives and leaders that aims to improve the living standards of those involved in primary industries. To achieve this, members are expected to abide by certain standards of conduct that are outlined in our code of ethics and principles. The code of ethics outlines the general principles and values that all PPCLI members must abide by. These include maintaining good health, respecting their environment and fellow producers, and respecting the law of the land. The principles, on the other hand, provide a more nuanced sense of who the PPCLI is and what the organization stands for. These include the belief in equity and justice, the promotion of co-operation, the unifying notion of being a people-driven organization, and the upholding of the rights and dignity of all people.
How to earn and maintain a PPCLC Cap Badge?
In order to earn a PPCLI Cap Badge, one must first be selected to join the organization, which happens through a rigorous selection process. The PPCLI National Council reviews the applications of all the producers and co-operatives who have completed a PPCLI application, and selects a number of them based on the merits of their application, as well as their past contributions to the group. Once selected, PPCLI members are expected to uphold the aforementioned principles, as well as participate in select community events (i.e. PPCLI conventions, workshops, etc.). The National Council may also assign members certain projects that they must complete in a timely manner. Once a member has proven their worth to the organization, they may be invited to the National Council where they may be presented with their PPCLI Cap Badge.
